The presented project is a snack and patisserie-caffe in Damascus city, with an area of (120) square meters. It consists of a showroom, service, partial preparation, and an outdoor terrace. A large preparation area attached to the hall located in the general basement of the building.
The spaces, architectural masses, sizes and shapes employed in the design were studied so as to enable the optimal use of the available space that serves the required function and desired requirements in a rational manner and in an intimate and quiet atmosphere.
The inner hall contains a space for preparing fast food, some light pastries, various sittings, service items, and display stands within an intimate, rational, simple, easy-to-use, and appropriate configuration, within a comfortable and clear space for movement, with the dense presence of plants to give a sense of integration with nature and give the visitor the appropriate visual and psychological comfort.
The focus was on natural materials in the interior treatments and all the elements of the internal and external space, where wood was employed as a basic material in the interior treatments, in addition to iron, glass and natural leather.
In terms of colors and the interior atmosphere, we adopted the concept of contrast in colors between black and white, with the aim of highlighting the elements of the interior space and framing the functions within it, leaving the wood in its natural color to give the pure touch and sense of nature, which in turn gives a special aesthetic to the place.
